Maxym Bronsard At Paroisse Saint-Hubert

Our musical Summer continued this past Thursday as the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture put on another concert for us at the Paroisse Saint-Hubert.  This week the music was provided by a young up-and-coming musician by the name of Maxym Bronsard.  A self-described lover of words, the environment and his Québec, Maxym Bronsard channels his love for all three in to his songs.  A series of which he performed for us on the well trodden church steps in Saint-Hubert.  His mix of folk and pop music, with the occasional loud dose of rock and roll added to the mix, charmed the crowd.  If the music didn't do the trick than his personality sure did.  Taking the time between songs to chat up the crowd, introducing them to his trick turning dog and leaving the stage to sing and dance amongst them, completing the already discussed difficult task of getting these local concert goers up and out of their seats.  Lots of young artists just starting out sometimes resort to padding their set-lists with songs by artists, but early in the performance, Maxym Bronsard let us know that he would be playing nothing but original songs, and you can't help but to respect the confidence he has in his own material, most of which appeared on his very first album, 'Chanter Ben Fort', which was released last year.  I think that betting on himself paid off, because not only did we get to know him over the course of the concert, but the music we will all be talking about won't be about how good his version of such and such a song was, but rather the songs we remember will be his and his alone.  I once again had free reign during the concert, I so I didn't hold back.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2, at various shutter speeds and focal lengths, with ISO's ranging from 400 to 3200.  Here are the other photographs that I took of Maxym Bronsard during his performance.

If you would like to find out more about Maxym Bronsard and his music, you can do so by following the link to his Facebook page.  A big thank you to the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture for putting these shows together and for allowing me to photograph them.  It is very much appreciated.  I was only able to find a listing for one other concert that Maxym Bronsard will be having this Summer, so keep your eyes, and ears, open for this up and comer.  You'll enjoy his music.
