It is commonly known that with Spring being the season of rebirth, it means we're well on our way to green grass, colourful flowers and leaves on all of the trees. However, getting there means going through a defrost period when the landscape looks like it was hit by a nuclear bomb. There is no colour anywhere, plants have been flattened and there is no colour to be see anywhere. We stumbled upon one such locations while out for a family walk not long ago in a park that is usually full of life. It was a cloudy day, the trees were bare, the other plant life was still struggling to get back up after being buried under several the snow. It looks pretty desolate, buy it also catches my eye. The photograph was taken at f/16, 1/125sec, ISO 100 at 26mm. We'll probably be back to this spot in the coming weeks as it's a nice walking path, and though it will probably be more full of life, I wonder if it will have as much character. Only time will tell.
