Last week saw multi-Juno Award winning artist DavidMyles visit the Place Bell in Laval as the opening act for the concert by Styx (photographs of which will soon be see here on the blog). Hailing from New Brunswick, David Myles immediately won over the crowd by stating how happy he was to be playing for us
it gave him the opportunity to speak in French.
That's always an easy, though very much appreciated, way to get a cheer from the crowd. The trio put on a solid show with their expert musicianship and rocking
songs. He also has a flair for the dramatic, busting out a little devil walk while strutting across the stage and playing the solo for 'Devil Talking', which is the third single to be released from his most recent album of the same name which was just released. Though he was a bit of an unknown
to your friendly neighbouhood photographer, David Myles has 15 albums to his
name that run the musical spectrum from Rock, Blues, Jazz and R&B. His set definitely inspired me to want to see
him perform again. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/250sec, ISO 3200 at 59mm. Here are a few more photographs that I took of David Myles and his band as they performed.

If you'd like to find out more about David Myles and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Styx, who headlined the concert, you can do so by following the link. A master of many musical genres, a David Myles concert is certainly an event not to be missed. Check him out if he's playing a show near you.
