The Derek Falls Band At Longueuil Ribfest

There were many bands who performed over the three days of the Longueuil Ribfest, but there was one that I was looking forward to the most.  That would be The Derek Falls Band.  They've been a constant at the event going back several years, but I only finally got the chance to photograph them last year, follow the link if you'd like to see the photographs) and upon seeing the schedule of performers this year, I was very happy to find that I would be able to photograph them once again.  For my money, Derek Falls is probably one of the best blues guitarists in Montreal and getting to hear him perform live is a treat that all of you music lovers owe yourselves.  I mentioned last year how you just want to close your eyes and get lost in the music, and that statement still stands.  Even if my eyes need to remain open in order to get my shots.  I got the chance to meet him backstage after the show to show off a few of the photographs that I had just taken.  My Lovely Assistant likes to call those occasions my 'Groupie Moments' and yes, maybe there is a little truth to that as it's always great to be able to meet some of these artist.  He remembered me from last year, saying he was looking forward to this years batch of photographs.  With that in mind, let's not waste any more time and get right to them, hopefully they don't disappoint.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/250sec ISO 400 at 57mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/250sec, ISO 100 at 65mm.  Here are several more photographs I took of The Derek Falls Band taken during their performance.
