Leadville Union At Longueuil Ribfest

Another of the great bands to perform at the Longueil Ribfest was a terrific country act from the Eastern Townships called Leadville Union.  They took the stage Sunday evening and I was really looking forward to their performance.  I have a soft spot for bands from the Eastern Townships as my family originally hails from the area.  Leadville Union didn't disappoint and did their region proud.  They are already very popular in the Townships, they will be one of the headlining musical acts at this years edition of the Brome Fair, and you can see why with their music.  On the stage, the band looks to be having a great time.  As a concert photographer, I always love it when the players end up coming together and jamming side by side, and the members of Leadville Union definitely filled that quota for me.  They other vocalists Maxyme and Athena are also gifted with wonderful voices.  Bringing a youthful edge to the songs that they play. They played a great selection of covers and original songs and a had the crowd behind them from start to finish.  I read that they have already been invited back to the Longueuil Ribfest next year, so hopefully I'll get to see them again.  Judging by the reaction of the crowd, I'm not the only one to feel that way.  They did a great job of bringing a touch of Country to the big city.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/1600sec, at 42mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/1000sec, ISO 500 at 50mm.  Here are several more photographs of Leadville Union that I took during their performance at the Longueuil Ribfest.
