The headliner on Thursday night at the Théâtre Corona in Montreal was Francis Degrandpré, but it could also have been seen as a huge celebration on Country music here in Montreal. Joining him up on the stage, was a who's who of Montreal's Country music community as you could see, and hear, why the city has often been referred to as Nashville North over the last several years. Taking turns up on that stage were Laurence St. Martin, Véronique Labbé and capped by an appearance by arguable the current local King of Country, Matt Lang. With every new arrival, the roar of the crowd continued to grown until even the performers themselves had to take a moment to reflect on what they were experiencing as things got so loud, even those fine folks in Nashville must have heard a rumble emanating from up North. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/320sec, ISO 1600 at 24mm. Here are several more photographs of the performances.

If you'd like to find out more about Laurence St. Martin, Véronique Labbé and Matt Lang as well as their music, you can do so by following the link to the respective webpages. It was as busy night of music, and you can see the other photographs that I took of Andie Therio by following this link, and the photographs of Francis Degrandpré at this link. With all of the talent that was up on the stage, as well as many other great Country performers that currently call the city home, it might not be long before Nashville will be known as Montreal South.
