This years edition of the Longueuil Ribfest, that took place in the borough of Greenfield Park, took a trip in the time machine for their closing act. We were transported back in time to a moment when The Fab Four dominated the scene. The real Beatles may not have been available for the event, but we ended up getting something very close to the original. Help! - A Tribute To The Beatles were in town with their near perfect replicas of outfits and equipment which help to make the show as close to the real thing as possible. It wasn't John, Paul, George and Ringo, but rather Norman, Pascal, Ron and R.D. They are one of Canada's best known Beatles tribute acts having played nearly 1000 shows since they first got together in 1999.
It's easy to see why they have lasted so long and are so popular. While we only got to see the young dark-suit era costumes, their full show features several different costume changes. We didn't get the full visual experience, but we did get the full audio one. The band move, look and play like the genuine article. Even the between song banter between the band sounds dead on. They were a big hit with the fans as well, drawing the largest crowd of the weekend. There's just something about hearing those classic songs. No matter your age, you've heard them all and they still reach down in to your soul and make you want to tap your toes, sing along, or like some of the awesomely costumed young fans in the front row, lose your mind to the moment as if it was the 1960s all over again. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Help! - A Tribute To The Beatles as they performed at the Longueuil Ribfest.

A big thank you once more to Pennie Berrworth and Mark Christiano of the All For The Children Foundation for allowing me to photograph the concerts. As always, it was very much appreciated. Help! - A Tribute To The Beatles play several shows every year.
