Leadville Union, a band so nice that I had to photograph them twice. While chatting with a few band members after their set on the first night of the Longueuil Ribfest that took place in the borough of Greenfield Park, they mentioned that they would be playing again on Sunday evening and asked if I could shoot that show as well. I was planning on being there anyway, but I am never one to turn down such an invitation, so I agreed. If you would like to see those photographs from Friday night, can follow the link. I brought a little secret weapon with me for this second performance. The whole clan came out for the Ribfest on Sunday. While Leadville Union was performing, I brought The Heir Apparent into the photo pit with me on my shoulders. She really loves going to the shows with me over the summer, and I
thought I'd give her a treat right here. I obviously didn't take a picture of us, but if you look at the a bit further down, you'll see a shot of the group where they are all smiles. I'd like to say that was for me, but it was the moment where they noticed The Heir Apparent with her little wooden camera taking photographs right along with me. Thanks to Leadville Union for putting up with my little moment. The Heir Apparent, and also The Crown Prince who was taking 'photographs' as well from the metal barrier, had a great time. How could they not? Leadville Union were terrific on Friday, and all over again on Sunday. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO setting and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Leadville Union while they performed at the Longueuil Ribfest.
If you would like to find out more about Leadville Union and their music, you can do so by following the link. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of The Don Gunn Band, the Friday Leadville Union show, Dawn Tyler Watson with The Roots Band, Dwane Dixon, and Help! - A Tribute To The Beatles, who also performed during the Longueuil Ribfest, you can do so by following the respective links. A big thank you to Penny Berrworth and Mark Christiano, as well as everyone at All For The Children, for allowing to me come down and take photographs of the music. It is very much appreciated. Leadville Union have several shows already scheduled for this summer, including an appearance at Brome Fair. Check them out for a rockin' good time.
