Dwane Dixon At Longueuil Ribfest

Mother Nature didn't do anybody any favours at the Longueuil Ribfest earlier this month.  The weather was a little cooler than usual, not that I was complaining, and the entire musical line-up planned for Saturday ended up getting cancelled due to the non-stop rain.  The sun did finally come out on Sunday and the first artist that we got to photograph was one that I had been looking forward to seeing again since I learned that he was making a Ribfest Return.  Dwane Dixon was back in Greenfield Park and Mother Nature knew better than to mess with his performance.  There were a few scattered rain drops here and there, but nothing to keep Dwane Dixon and his band-mates off the stage, or to keep the music fans of Greenfield Park from coming out to see him.  I got my first taste of his rock and blues guitar mix during his 2023 performance at the Ribfest, feel free to follow the link for a reminder, and have been a fan ever since.  A rocking performance of killer rock cover songs, but given his own personal twist through the solos, and some great original songs is what you're in store for at one of his shows, along with some great guitar shredding that is likely to melt your shoes where you stand.  The heat coming from the competing rib kitchens didn't even come close to the heat coming off of the stage when Dwane Dixon tackles a solo with his guitar.  All you can do is stand back in awe and watch a master at work.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various differing shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Dwane Dixon while he performed at the Longueuil Ribfest.

If you would like to find out more about Dwane Dixon and his music, you can do so by following the link to his webpage.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of The Don Gunn Band, Leadville Union, Dawn Tyler Watson & The Roots Band, a second Leadville Union show and Help! - The Beatles Tribute, who also performed during the Longueuil Ribfest, you can do so by following the respective links.  A big thank you once more to Pennie Berrworth and Mark Christiano of the All For The Children Foundation for allowing me to photograph the concerts.  As always, it was very much appreciated.  Dwane Dixon has several shows lined up this summer, be sure to check him out if he is playing in a town near you.
