We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert
photographs up here on The Old Blog. I suppose we will catch up at some
point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs
can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media,
which you can do by following the link. If you'd like an even more direct
route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using
the following
link. "Gonna be one heck of a banger!" Those were the words that I overheard from a front row conversation. The waiting fans were ready for the triple bill of heavy metal madness that was about to assault every ear in Montréal's MTelus. The show began with Dark Chapel. The band is fronted by Black Label Society
guitarist Dario Lorina. They didn’t waste any time and unleashed the first of
many
musical onslaughts as soon as they hit the stage. “Afterglow” was the first of many crushing
songs that would test how sturdy the MTelus had been built. All of the songs they played were from their
debut album, Sprit In The Glass, which was released early last year. Dark Chapel also added a rocked out cover of “Ain’t No Sunshine”. The heavy blues bass riffs shook everything
in the building, and the reverberations may have been felt out on the street as
well. Bill Wither's 1971 classic has certainly never sounded so heavy. Dark Chapel may be a looked at as a side project, but I should Dario choose, they could definitely break out on their own. All of the photographs were taken at f3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Dark Chapel while they performed on the MTelus stage.

Dark Chapel At MTelus
If you would like to find out more about Dark Chapel and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Black Label Society and Zakk Sabbath, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the respective links. Dark Chapel were awesome and got the crowd roaring. They set the stage perfectly for the continued madness that was to come. Don't you dare miss it when they perform in a town near you.
