Julianna Riolino At Théâtre Beanfield

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  It's always a thrill to walk into Montréal's Théâtre Beanfield, knowing that you will hopefully have the chance to experience an unforgettable moment or two.  While on the topic of unforgettable, on this night, our opening act made sure that we wouldn’t forget her name.  Juliana Riolino hit the stage with a swagger that said she was going to make a statement.  She is a wild hybrid of classic rock and country, with a pinch of punk rock thrown in as well.  “Juliana!” she would shout to the crowd while the fans would respond with “Riolino!”  A call and response that would only get louder as the set progressed.  Juliana Riolino and her band obviously came here to rock, something she yelled to the crowd several times.  They certainly accomplished their task.  Juliana was giving off some Joan Jett vibes with her raspy voice and unlimited energy on stage.  She also had the crowd rocking out on tunes like “Full Moon” and “Running”.  Both of which can be found on her most recent album, Echo In The Dust, which was released last year.  Julianna was also able to slow things down to a calm sway.  She did that with a cover of Paul McCartney’s “Let Me Roll It”, which she blended with “Why Do I Miss You”.  It was a terrific performance that left everyone wanting more.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Julianna Riolino as she performed up on the Théâtre Beanfield stage.

If you would like to find out more about Julianna Riolino and her music, you can do so by following the link to her website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of July Talk, who performed later that evening, you can do so by following the link.  Julianna Riolino was just the spark of energy that was needed to set of a blazing night of music  Don't you dare miss it when she performs in a town near you.
