We're really behind the times here on the old blog. A
computer meltdown at the beginning of the month and a very busy concert
shooting schedule has left this place feeling a little abandoned. The
biggest victims in this have been my good friends at the Longueuil Ribfest who
have been waiting a few weeks to see the photographs that I took during their
concerts. So, we'll leave the writing to a minimum and get as much out
here as possible. Headlining the Saturday night portion of the festival was arguable the very best Queen cover band out there, Queen Flash. Led by singer, and native Greenfield Park-er Johnny Zatylny, they are as close as you can get to the real thing. The costumes, the music, and most importantly the voice, are top notch. Once again
this year, they put on a show that had Greenfield Park bowing to their musical champions. All of the photographs were taken at
f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal
lengths. Here are the photographs that I took of Queen Flash while they performed at the Longueuil Ribfest.
If you would like to find out more about Queen Flash and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website. A big thank you goes out to Pennie Berrworth and Mark Christiano of the Longueuil Ribfest and All For The Children Foundation for allowing me to shoot the shows, and the Ville de Longueuil for all of their amazing technical work. You can also check out the other bands that I shot that day by following the links. The Derek Falls Band, The Roots Band, Texarillo, Leadville Union and Help! - The Ultimate Beatles Tribute. They were all terrific. Don't you dare miss it when Queen Flash performs in a town near you.
