Texarillo At Longueuil Ribfest

We're really behind the times here on the old blog.  A computer meltdown at the beginning of the month and a very busy concert shooting schedule has left this place feeling a little abandoned.  The biggest victims in this have been my good friends at the Longueuil Ribfest who have been waiting a few weeks to see the photographs that I took during their concerts.  So, we'll leave the writing to a minimum and get as much out here as possible. After the great fun of Saturday, there was no way that I wasn't going to return for a second serving on Sunday.  I got the the festival grounds in time to catch Texarillo.  The band fronted by Ribfest regular Dwane Dixon was on fire.  They played a collection or original and cover songs that had the entire area rocking.  This was my first Texarillo experience, but anything attached to Dwane Dixon is always guaranteed to rock.  This appearance was no different.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the photographs that I took of Texarillo while they performed at the Longueuil Ribfest.

If you would like to find out more about Texarillo, they don't have a website, but you can find some information on singer Dwane Dixon by following the link.  A big thank you goes out to Pennie Berrworth and Mark Christiano of the Longueuil Ribfest and All For The Children Foundation for allowing me to shoot the shows, and the Ville de Longueuil for all of their amazing technical work.  You can also check out the other bands that I shot that day by following the links.  The Roots Band, Queen Flash, The Derek Falls Band, Leadville Union and Help! - The Ultimate Beatles Tribute.  They were all terrific. Don't you dare miss it when Texarillo performs in a town near you.
