Panic Shack At L'Olympia

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13 Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  There was a punk rock revival at Montréal's L'Olympia a few weeks back.  A legendary band was in town, and when you have a legendary band headlining, you better make sure that the openers are up to the task.  Such was the case on this evening.  The punk rock party got off to a terrific start thanks to Welsh rockers Panic Shack.  After limbering up, the guitar attack came fast and furious.  “Gok Wan” began their blistering aural assault, and they never let up.  “Jui Jits You” was a blast of fun with the band mock fighting with their guitars.  They were obviously having a great time on the stage.  Panic Shack also got the crowd involved, imploring them to get dancing during “Girl Band Starter Pack”.  “Tit School” was a rocking riot and they finished their set with “Pockets”.  It featured the chant “Vape, phone, keys, lip gloss!”  Most of the songs came from their most recent, and first, full length album, Panic Shack which was released in 2025.  Their most recent singe, "Grin & Bear It", was also featured.  So, maybe a new album of material is already in the works.  By the end of the song, the crowd was yelling it right along with the band.  Panic Shack was a terrific discovery.  Every song rocked and they really got the crowd going.  Generally such greatness would earn the grade of A.  However, after a quick introduction to Tit School, the obvious grade to be given has to be Double D.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Panic Shack while they performed on the L'Olympia stage.

If you would like to find out more about Panic Shack and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of The Sex Pistols & Frank Carter, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the link.  Panic Shack was like a blast of fresh punk air.  They came out and made the stage their own.  Don't you dare miss it when they play a town near you.
