We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert
photographs up here on The Old Blog. I suppose we will catch up at some
point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs
can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13 Media,
which you can do by following the link. If you'd like an even more direct
route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using
the following

past Thursday. A trio of Country Music’s
hottest young voices took over the historic venue and gave it an unforgettable
Ladies Night. Willow Avalon was in town
as part of her Pink Pocket Pistol tour. She brought along Macy Todd and Tiffany Stringer to partake in the
party. After the stage had been cleared from the opening acts, it was
time for Willow Avalon’s
arrival. The stage was decorated like a
cross between a flower shop and my grandmother’s living room. Flowers, antiques, and an interestingly placed
deer head filled the stage. Willow
responded to the wild welcome from the crowd with a smile brighter than the
lights that lit the stage. The smile
never left for the rest of the night. Willow and her band kicked things off with “Southern Belle
Raisin’ Hell” and very rarely took their feet off of the pedal. “Hickest Woman” followed and “Work To Do”
continued the party. Both tracks come
from Willow’s most recent album, “Pink Pocket Pistol’, which she released
earlier this Summer. The title track
from that album was my favourite of the night.
It played like it would fit perfectly in the soundtrack of a Billy Wilder film noir picture. It was a wonderful night of Country music. Cowboy hats, denim jeans and vests were the
fashion du jour. Hearts were broken,
love was lost, but fortunately nobody’s dog died or their house caught fire.
Willow Avalon was great with her fans, and in return, they filled the building
with love for her. They were singing along to their
favourite songs and cheering after every song.
It may have been Ladies Night on stage, but everyone in town was invited
to Willow Avalon's party. What a fun party it was. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Willow Avalon while she performed up on the Théâtre Beanfield stage.
If you would like to find out more about Willow Avalon and her music, you can do so by following the link to her webpage. If you would like to see the photographs of Macy Todd and Tiffany Stringer, who also performed that night, you can do so by following the respective links. A big thanks goes out to Willow Avalon's management team at Moral Distaste, Evenko and Christopher Gonda at V13 Media for getting me a pass to shoot the show. As always, it is very much appreciated. Willow Avalon's Pink Pocket Pistol tour continues into November. Don't you dare miss if when she performs in a town near you.
