Pop Evil At Place Bell

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  Place Bell in Laval was getting ready to be transformed into a war zone a few weeks back.  But, before the main attacking force took the field, Pop Evil was sent out to survey the battlefield.  They say that evil lurks in the shadow.  For most of their set, so did Pop Evil.  The stage was an atmospheric delight that featured harsh colours and short blasts of light.  It fit in well with the music.  “Trenches”, “Deathwalk” and “Wishful Thinkin” opened their set.  The last two of those song come from Pop Evil's most recent album, What Remains, which was released last year.  The trifecta of songs had the fans banging their heads.  Which the continued to do all the way until Pop Evil closed their set with "Waking Lions".  I had never seen Pop Evil perform before, but I loved the show.  Singer Leigh Kakaty was a vocal force.  Whether bathed in light of silhouetted in the shadows, his roar was unmistakable.  Bassist Joey “Chicago” Walser was a blast to watch as well.  He ran and leapt across the stage like a man possessed, while also driving the pulsating beats of Pop Evil’s songs.  They were terrific.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Pop Evil while they performed on the Place Bell stage.

If you would like to find out more about Pop Evil and their music, you can follow the link to their website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Sabaton, who performed later that evening, you can do so by following the link.  Pop Evil gave the fans a great show and got the crowd roaring.  Don't you dare miss it when they perform in a town near you.
