One of the biggest Canadian rock bands of the 2000's was in Laval the other night to headline a night of music at Place Bell. Three Days Grace burst upon the scene back in 2003 and have only been growing over the years. In another of those "I feel old" moments, time has gone by real fast and suddenly this new band that I heard on the radio back in 2003 is touring for their seventh studio album, Explosions, and playing large arenas where they used to play smaller venues. Three Days Grace is a great success story, but behind that success is the music. Not very bands can survive changing their singer, but they have and have even thrived since doing so. I've now seen them grow from those small venues, opening for other bands, to becoming one of Canada's biggest musical acts. It's been a wild ride, and it doesn't look like it will be ending any time soon. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/1600sec, ISO 4000 at 24mm. Here are several more photographs that I took of their performance.

Three Days Grace At Place Bell
The Warning At Place Bell
What were you doing when you were in your mid-teens to early twenties? I was reading comic books and playing video games. But, the three sisters of The Warning, aged 20, 18 and 15 respectively, are not like you and me. They were up on the stage at Place Bell in Laval while thousands of people where cheering and singing along with them. They've already released three albums, the most recent of which, Error, was released earlier this Summer, and have toured the World. They first gained a measure of fame back in 2014 (when the youngest member of the group was 9!) when they did a cover of Metallica's monster hit, Enter Sandman. The song was viewed more than 20 million times and eventually helped to land them a record contract. They performed the song again last year, with singer Alessia Cara, as part of the Metallica Black List tribute album. Since then, The Warning has been everywhere, and people can't get enough of them. They were in Laval this past Sunday, opening the show for Three Days Grace. It's usually at this point that I would mention how they made a lot of new fans with their performance, but a quick glance of the crowd while walking to and from our shooting position showed that, based on the amount of The Warning t-shirts I saw people wearing, they already had a pretty big group of fans to begin with. These young ladies were awesome and I can't wait to see, and hear, more from them in the future. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/320sec, ISO 4000 at 27mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/640sec, ISO 4000 at 70mm. Here are several more photographs that I took of their performance.
