It's pretty rare that I get to photograph a band twice in the same year. As of this writing, The Blue Stones, who were headlining a concert at Le Studio TD in Montreal on Sunday night, get the honour of being my first double shot in a calendar year. I first photographed them back in May when they were opening a show at the Théâtre Corona for The Beaches. Photographs can be seen by following the link. I mentioned then that I wouldn't be surprised at all to be seeing them headlining shows on their own in the future. The future ended up being a lot closer than I thought. Six short month later, here they are back in town with their name in the big letters above the marquee. They drew a very good crowd as well. Not only did they fill the floor of Le Studio TD, but they pretty filled up the second level as well. Something that hadn't happened during my last few visits to the venue. I had the pleasure of standing to one such super fan who had missed out their last show but ran over from his job to make sure he'd be among the first inside to make sure he had a spot close to the stage. The building was full of such fan, singing along with the band and having a great time. The Blue Stones are touring in support of their new album which was just released earlier this month, Pretty Monster, and they drew a large crowd to hear their new songs and established hits. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/250sec, ISO 800 at 24mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/640sec, ISO 2000 at 39mm. Here are several more photographs of their performance.

If you'd like to find out more about The Blue Stones and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website. If you'd like to see the photographs of BRKN LOVE who opened the show, you can do so my following this link. Much thanks goes out to Eddie Laureno of The Elevation Group and tour manager Marco Cortese for getting me a pass to photograph the show. As always, it is very much appreciated. Last time they were here, I predicted The Blue Stones would be headlining a show rather soon. Based on Sunday night, I think it can be safely said that next time they return, it will be in an even bigger venue. Hopefully I'll be there to shoot it.
