David Tremblay & Ariane Laniel At Paroisse Saint-Hubert

The Summer concert series put together by the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture is getting in to full swing, and we had our first show at the Paroisse Saint-Hubert.  the duo of David Tremblay and Ariane Laniel were due to play in front of the historic church in Saint-Hubert, but with there being a chance of rain in the forecast, the concert ended up being moved inside the building.  It is new this year that the shows get moved into the church in the case of rain, and it certainly makes for an interesting location.  David Tremblay and Ariane Laniel mentioned how they had planned on playing several 'Summer' and 'Sunny' songs for the show, but changed their setlist up a bit based on the weather.  Both are seasoned performers.  David Tremblay has been playing for over twenty years, playing all kinds of different styles.  His latest musical direction is in a more Country style, though you can still hear his musical past in his songs.  Ariane Laniel is also a twenty year veteran of the business and her songs are of the Pop, Folk and Country variety.  Together on stage, they make a a great duo, which is somewhat of a Country music tradition.  They aren't quite Kenny and Dolly or Johnny and June, but those are certainly lofty heights to aim for.  Who knows, they might climb that high together one day, but in the meantime, they provide a wonderful mix of their own songs, as well as some that they have worked on together, all mixed together with a little bit of the songs that they enjoy and inspired them along their musical journey.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/640sec, ISO 12800 at 200mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/400sec, ISO 12800 at 200mm.  Here are some more photographs of David Tremblay and Ariane Laniel performing on the stage.

If you would like to find out more about David Tremblay and Ariane Laniel, as well as their music, you can do so by following the respective links.  A bit thank to the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture for putting the show together and allowing me to shoot it.  David Tremblay and Ariane Laniel don't have many shows lined up at the moment, though Ariane Laniel will be having a special concert in Montreal on September 18th to launch her latest EP, L'autre.  It is sure to be a good show.  Check them both out if they end up playing a show near you.
