Mélissa Ouimet At Fête Du Canada

They often say that good things are worth the wait, and such was the case back on Canada Day when Melissa Ouimet hit the stage.  The annual event held in the borough of Greenfield Park, which is part of the Ville de Longueuil, ended up being cancelled last year due to the presence of thunder storms in the area.  As such, it took us a year before we could see Melissa Ouimet perform, but once she hit the stage and unleashed her powerful voice upon us, the one year wait was immediately forgotten.  Singing original songs and songs that she loved to hear in both English and French, Melissa Ouimet, another alum from the hit 'La Voix' television program, cut through the Summer heat with a terrific performance that had all of Greenfield Park standing and asking for more.  A couple of medley's really stood out, as well as a strong performance of Alanis Morisette's bit hit, 'You Oughta
Know'.  Another song that went over well with the crowd was her big hit 'Freedom', which was released back in 2022 on her 'Sans Tomber' EP, which was also her most recent release of new material, thought Melissa Ouimet did release a couple of singles, 'Quand Revient Noël' and also 'Broken'.  While a new album wasn't announced, she did mention that some new songs were being worked on, so maybe we'll get to hear some of those new songs again soon.  Much like with the Jay Kutcher performance from earlier in the evening, I was given free reign during Melissa Ouimet's performance and have lots of photographs to share.  They were mostly taken at f/3.2, with ISO's ranging from 1600 to 6400 at various focal lengths and shutter speeds.  Here we go.
