It's been a while since my last visit to Le Studio TD in Montreal. It's a nice little intimate room, the perfect place for a Country music performer. Even better for one with some good news to share. Opening our show on this evening was up and coming Country performer,
Sacha. She shared the great news with
the crowd that she had just recently signed with Sony Music Canada and that her very
first album was on the verge of being released.
Sacha shares her life in her songs.
Two notable songs being ‘Missing Out’ and ‘Hey Mom, I Made It’. Both songs were directly inspired from her
own family life. It's always true that the best songs are generally those that are somewhat based in reality. When they're personal, they just seem to have that extra weight of being real and genuine. That always comes through to the listening. However, sometimes those songs which pull on our heartstrings the most, have the same effect on the performer. You could see that Sacha got a little emotional after having played those songs, and credit to the performer that she is, Sacha was able to channel those emotions in to her performance. She got the crowd going
with a mash-up of Taylor Swift songs, cleverly called ‘Mashed Pa-Taylor’ on the
set-list, but it was the short glimpses in to her heart and soul that really
grabbed the crowd and pulled them in closer to her. Be on the look-out for Sacha, you can’t help
but feel good things are coming her way. The photographs were all taken at f/3.2 while using several different shutter speeds, ISO setting and focal lengths. Here are more of the photographs that I took of Sacha while she performed on Le Studio TD stage.
If you would like to find out more about Sacha and her music, you can do so by following the link to her website. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Tenille Townes, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the link. Sacha really left her mark on the crowd, and I am sure that the same effect was felt in the other cities she visited on this tour. Make sure to check out her show next time it comes to a town near you.
