The Warning At Centre Bell

A few weeks back, the Centre Bell in Montreal hosted a trio of female fronted bands who rock harder than the Canadiens have been this season.  Our first band to hit the stages came to us direct from Mexico, The WarningUp first were the Villarreal sisters, collectively known as TheWarning.  Having already made several appearances in Montreal, The Warning already have a huge following here.   When you're the third band on the bill, it generally means that you are going on fairy early in the evening.  That doesn't always translate in to there being a big crowd to see you, but the fans of The Warning did a good job of getting to the building in time to catch the set.  The trio first got noticed thanks to a viral video of them performing Metallica’s hit, ‘Enter Sandman’.  Now with four albums of their own, including their most recent ‘Keep Me Fed’, which was released here on June 28th. there is no room for covers in the set list as they now have an awesome catalogue of their own.  The people came out early to hear them play, and they weren’t disappointed.  Lead singer Daniella is coming in to her own as a top notch front woman.  She has a great voice and her guitar playing is terrific.  On the bass, the youngest of the sisters, Alejandra continues to impress.  She lays down an impressive bass beat and I have to remind myself that at 19 I was struggling to play video games and she is up there rocking the stage.  The Warning's super weapon is their drummer, Paulina.  Not only is she amazing on the skins, but she has a terrific voice as well.  In any other band, she could probably be a lead singer, and she does take up that duty on certain songs.  All of the photographs in this set were taken at f/3.2 using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are some more photographs that I took of The Warning while they performed at the Centre Bell.

If you would like to find out more about The Warning and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Halestorm, who performed later that evening, you can do so by following the link.  The Warning are a solid triple-threat of rocking action and anyone who underestimates them because of their age has quickly been shown the error in their ways.  Don't forget to check The Warning out when they play near you.
