Le StudioTD in Montreal is a very intimate little venue and the perfect place to take in two Country artists who bear their souls in their songs. Tenille Townes arrived in Montreal as part of her ‘Things That Brought Me Here’ tour and was greeted by a very welcoming crowd. Country music is rather popular in La Belle Province and Tenille Townes is currently one of the top Canadian Country Music stars. It was a bit of divine intervention that led me to Tenille Townes’ music. A few years back, I was drawn to sending in a request to photographer her show, despite never even having heard a single note of her music. Feel free to go back in time by following the link to see the photographs. While at the concert, I heard her tell the story how close she was to her grandparents and that they had inspired her to get in to music. I had a very similar experience as my own Grandmother was very supportive of my photography and her words pushed me to go further with it. As the goose bumps rose on my arm, I then knew why I was at that show, and I have been a fan of her music ever since. TenilleTownes has her fair share of personal songs as well. She won over the hearts of her fans with her relatable songs and an ever soaring voice. She described the evening by saying it felt like playing in a living room and a rock club at the same time. That makes sense as her songs can just as easily pull you in closer for a tender moment or be explosive and pull you to your feet to dance and get rowdy right along with her. Her terrific debut album, ‘The Lemonade Stand’, was released back in 2020. No mention was made of a new album, but there has been a steady stream of singles and EP’s that she has released since then. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using several different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of my photographs taken of Tenille Townes while she performed on the Le Studio TD stage.
If you would like to find out more about Tenille Townes and her music, you can do so by following the link to her website. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Sacha, who performed earlier that night, you can do so by following the link. A big thank you to Crystal Dishmon of Shopkeeper Management and Christopher Gonda of V13 Media for getting me a pass to photograph the show. As always, it is very much appreciated. Tenille Townes is one of Canada's great young Country music voices and always puts on a great show. Her ‘Things That Brought Me Here’ tour continues until the end of the month. Be sure to check her out when the tour visits a town near you.
