We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here
on The Old Blog. I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this
would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be
seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do
by following the link. If you'd like an even more direct route to my
photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the
following link. The Place Bell in Laval was the home of one of the most rocking triple bills that I have had the good fortune of photographing this year. Opening the
night was Finland’s gift to classical metal, Apocalyptica. Three classically trained cellists who cover
heavy metal songs. On this night, they
limited their performance to songs by Metallica, but if you were to look
through their discography, you would find their awesome covers of several other
bands as well. Not to mention their own
original pieces as well. Their time on
stage was criminally short, only 6 songs, especially for those of us who have
seen them perform full headlining sets. They
opened with a trio of songs, ‘Ride The Lightning’, ‘Master Of Puppets’ and
‘Enter Sandman’ that rivals any opening salvo of music that I have ever
seen. Simply put, Apocalyptica are
amazing and even after having seen them now three times over the last two
years, I can’t wait for them to return. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Apocalyptica while they performed on the Place Bell stage.

Apocalyptica At Place Bell
To find out more about Apocalyptica and their music, you can follow the link to their website. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Halestorm and Lindsey Stirling, you can do so by following the respective links. Apocalyptica are one of those acts that I just can't get enough of. As previously mentioned, this was the third time I see them in two years and I would go see them again in a heartbeat. Don't you dare miss it when Apocalyptica plays a town near you.
