We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here
on The Old Blog. I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this
would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be
seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do
by following the link. If you'd like an even more direct route to my
photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the
following link. Hydro-Québec
has been providing electricity to the Province for decades. However, there was a different kind of
electricity flowing through the packed Théâtre Beanfield. It was a Friday night, the people were ready
to party and all that was missing was a spark.
That was provided by Alicia Moffet. As the
chants of “Ali! Ali! Ali!” grew louder, the old building was suddenly plunged
into
darkness. Was it a blackout? Or was
it a surge caused by every one of the fans in the sold-out building? One thing is for certain, even all of the
snow that had fallen earlier in the week couldn’t have slowed this evening
down. Alicia Moffet is a star on the rise. Already a
pretty big name in Québec, she is beginning to make bigger waves outside of La
Belle Province. This tour got off to a
thunderous beginning in Québec City.
Combined with the first of two back-to-back sold out shows, was one heck
of a mission statement. Alicia Moffet is
here, and nothing is going to stop her. She appeared at the top of one of the largest stage set-ups that I have
ever seen at the Beanfield. As she broke
into the first chorus of “Choke”, the
fans finally erupted. All of the energy that had been building up
to that moment was finally released.
Alicia Moffet strutted her was around the stage in full control of the building. That continued into “Run To You” after taking
a brief moment to acknowledge how awesome the crowd was. Her new
album, No, I’m Not Crying, was released earlier this year and the set list
featured almost every track off of the album.
Her voice is her most powerful weapon and it was in fine form on this
night. She had perfect vocal delivery
despite dancing over every inch of the stage, making it a challenge for this
old timer to keep up with her. I was
winded just watching her. The show really did have it all. A great singer, an energetic crowd and yes,
even a surprise marriage proposal from some fans that were brought up on
stage. For those of you wondering at
home, she said yes. What an evening. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Alicia Moffet as she performed on the Théâtre Beanfield stage.

Alicia Moffet At Théâtre Beanfield
If you would like to find out more about Alicia Moffet and her music, you can do so by following the link to her website. If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Dominique Way, who performed earlier that evening, you can do so by following the link. A big thank you goes out to Alicia Moffet's management team at The Cult Nation, Evenko and Christopher Gonda at V13 Media. As always, I very much appreciate the opportunity. This
leg of the No, I’m Not Crying tour only has two other shows coming up in
Ontario. But, you can almost bet that
the name Alicia Moffet will be at the top of several marquees come 2026. Don’t you dare miss it when she hits a town
near you.
