Sofia Duhaime At MTelus

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  They say that everything has a beginning and everything has an end.  Those of us in attendance at the MTelus late last month  were able to witness the early stages of what looks to be a promising musical career for Sofia Duhaime.  The young artist is still taking the first of what will be many steps on her musical journey.  She exuded a quiet confidence on stage, regaling us with songs from her debut album, Lune d’argent, which was released earlier this year.  Singing in both English and en français, Sofia masterfully held the audience’s attention with her spellbinding voice.  I particulary enjoyed “Entre deux stations”, a song she dedicated to public transport.  Something we all learned to maybe appreciate a little more after going through a recent strike by our public transport workers.  The music was smooth and soothing, which was much appreciated.  You could feel the personal attachment that she has with her songs.   Sofia Duhaime obviously has a big future, and I can’t wait to see her star shine even brighter.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Sofia Duhaime as she performed on the MTelus stage.

If you would like to find out more about Sofia Duhaime and her music, you can do so by visiting her webpage.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Gowan, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the link.  Keep an ear open for Sofia Duhaime.  I am sure that we will be hearing many great things from her in the future.  Don't you dare miss it when Sofia Duhaime performs in a town near you.
