While enjoying some deck time with My Lovely Assistant's family this summer, I found this little guy hanging off an evergreen. I guess he was enjoying a warm summer evening out as well. His web was so fine that you can't see it at all, giving the illusion that he's just floating in the air. I played around with Photoshop a little bit to make everything a little darker and to add a little bit of blue to the sky. It makes the final image look a little bit more pleasant to the eye. Or I sure hope that it does. The photograph was taken at f/4, 1/500sec, ISO 100 at 200mm. I'm not a big fan of spiders in the house, but once outside, I become much more happy to see them.
