I spent a great amount of time at Festival Classica in Saint-Lambert this year and there are loads of photographs that were taken during the musical performances. The first concert I took in was called Operette en folie, which featured several different performers. Much like last year, I've decided to separate my photographs by performers, which will then be followed up by a group update at the end. The first artist to take the stage was world renowned violinist Alexandre Da Costa. He has performed all over the planet and is also the artistic director and conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra of Longueuil. I've often heard it said that musicians see their instrument as an extension of themselves and after watching Alexandre Da Costa perform on stage, you can really see that to be the case. The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/160sec, ISO 1600 at 200mm. Here are several more photographs that I took during the performance.

Not being rather musical myself, but rather being a fan of the art, I was amazed with the ease at which Alexandre played his instrument. It was beautiful to hear and a real treat for the ears. To find out more about Alexandre Da Costa, feel free to visit his website.
