Kreator At MTelus

The second band to hit the MTelus stage during the big Klash of the Titans show was German thrash metal pioneers, Kreator.  Lead singer Mille Petrozza wasted little time getting down to business, calling for the first Wall of Death before the second song of their set.  The Montreal faithful were only too happy to part down the middle of the MTelus for their Metal Moses as the band broke in to ‘Phobia’.  The music is definitely the number one reason why people go to concerts, but some times the little extras help add to the show.  Kreator took care of one of those little things with some great stage props. The stage was decorated with several impaled figures along with two giant inflatable demons to back of the stage.  One on each side of their mascot, Violent Mind.  When they were finally reveal to the crowd, it drew a great reaction.  I was happy to see them as well, but for a different reason.  It was fun to try and fit them in to some of the photographs.  Their most recent album, Hate Über Alles, their fifteenth, was released back in 2022 and their announcement that new music was being worked on was met with an enthusiastic roar from the crowd.  Kreator have been around for more than 40 years, but they still sound as fresh and vital as any of the modern bands today.  That's one of the reasons why they are still so loved by their fans.  The 1980s thrash metal bands are still standing and performing all these years later.  Kreator is among the top of these groups and look to remain there for many more years to come.  The photographs were taken at f/3.2 using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are several more photographs of Kreator up on the MTelus stage.

If you would like to find out more about Kreator and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Possessed and Testament, who also performed that night, you can do so by following the respective links. The Klash of the Titans tour that features Kreator continues until the end of October.  Perfect timing for those of you who might like to borrow Kreator’s stage decorations for your Halloween party.  The Heir Apparent told me that they would look great on our front lawn.  If you like your music loud, this is a tour you don’t want to miss.
