Though LØLØ wasn't the
headlining act at the MTelus in late November, one could argue that the
tour, Marianas Trench 'Forces Of Nature' tour was named after her.
That’s because LØLØ
was a force of nature in her own right. Bouncing unto the stage
like a
Super ball released upon the world, LØLØ had the crowd in the palm of
her hands
from the very beginning. I was probably
the only person in the building who was not really familiar with LØLØ. But, as a late 40-something, I don't really spend a lot of time on Tik Tok, which is where LØLØ got her start. But,
making these discoveries is the thing I like best about concert
photography. Self describing her sounds
as psychotically sentimental, LØLØ draws most of her inspiration from real life
moments and experience. After releasing
several EP’s, LØLØ released her first album, ‘Falling For Robots And Wishing I
Was One’ back in June. Her live performance
was terrific, and I have been having a blast discovering her back catalogue. Her song 'The Floor Is Lava' has been getting lots of airings since her show. LØLØ's songs cover a multitude of emotions, all of which are presented in different a unique ways. She can grab your attention with a rockin' wail, and just as simply tug at all of your emotions with an infections leap, longing stare or the twist of a lyric. A truly great discovery indeed. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of LØLØ while she performed on the MTelus stage.

If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Marianas Trench, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the link. High in energy and packed with emotional punch, LØLØ's performance was a great introduction to her songs for me. Hopefully she'll be back soon, and don't forget to check out the show when LØLØ performers near you.
