Municipal Waste At L'Olympia

Writing, writing, writing. The second band to hit the stage during our visit to the Théâtre L'Olympia back in February was Municipal Waste.  It's been a few years since I last saw them perform, but I still remember that set that they played back at Heavy MTL in 2014 that featured fans stage diving from some of the trees that surrounded the location.  MunicipalWaste are all about fun and having a good time.  Their sound has been described as 'Party Thrash' they live up to the billing.  They are also very big with interacting with the crowd, as evidenced by the fact that they had people jumping from the trees as I previously mentioned.  On this night, they wasted little time in getting the crowd going with an assortment of circle pit requested from different parts of the floor.  They don’t waste much time on stage, joking at one point that their next three songs would last about two minutes.  Municipal Waste have released seven full length albums thus far and several more EP's.  It was their third album, The Art Of Partying, which first grabbed my attention and probably best displayed their style of music.  Their most recent album, Electrified Brain, was released back in 2022, so maybe we will be due for some new music from them soon.  The played an energetic set that got the fans good and worked up, while having just as much fun, and maybe even more, than the crowd they were playing for.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Municipal Waste as they performed on the Théâtre L'Olympia stage.

If you would like to find out more about Municipal Waste and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Alien Weaponry and Kerry King, who also performed that night, you can do so by following the respective links.  Municipal Waste definitely know how to throw a party and have a great time.  You'll be sure to have one as well at one of their shows.  Be sure to check Municipal Waste out when they perform near you.
