Thee Soreheads At MTelus

Our most recent visit to the MTelus in Montreal featured a line-up of one legendary local alt-rock group with a couple of newer bands handling the opening duties.  Up first was Thee Soreheads, who describe themselves as four slightly angry punks.  They blasted the crowd with a short set of songs from their just released Thee Wee Demos album.  The songs were short, but full of energy and anger as singer Maria growled and threw herself around the stage.  This was a performance with a message, and it was delivered with a swift kick to the seat of our pants.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Thee Soreheads while they performed on the MTelus stage.

If you would like to find out more about Thee Soreheads and their music, you can do so by following the link to their Facebook page.  If you would like to see the photographs that I took of Gros Soleil and Grimskunk, who performed later that night, you can do so by following the respective links.  Thee Soreheads, along with having a terrific name, put on a terrific performance.  I look forward to hearing more from them in the future.  Thee Soreheads will be hitting the festival circuit this summer, so be sure to check them out if they're playing near you.
