Les Jacks At Parc Du Village

The last update had me feeling like making a hometown return of my own.  My family moved to Saint-Lambert when I was eight years old and Parc du Village downtown is kind of where I began taking concert photographs.  I also haven't been back there for a show since 2019 due to the pandemic pretty much wiping out the last three seasons.  I remember really liking to photograph shows at Parc du Village.  They have a nice stage set-up and the sun sets behind and just to the right of the artists behind the trees which makes for some nice colours.  There was a crowd on hand, but sadly for my bruised ego, none of them were there to see me. Luckily, they were there to see a rather cool band, Les Jacks.   I've already shot them once before as part of the Canada Day festivities in 2019, which was one of my first accredited shows as a photographer.  They were only a duo at the time as their Contrabass player was off in Europe at the time.  He has since returned, so the band, which formed when the three friends were in CEGEP, have gotten back together.  So, you had the city that saw me take several first steps, and a band that was part of a big step for me and my camera.  I couldn't turn down the opportunity to attend.  Les Jacks played a nice selection of cover songs, some killer medleys as well as original material from their new album, Live Au Treehouse, which was released earlier this Summer.  The Heir Apparent had a particular good time dancing to a medley of 90s rock songs and we then swayed together a bit for the CCR classic, Who Will Stop The Rain.  I'm glad that she is enjoying these show, and yes, she is still totting her little wooden camera around with her.  The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/500sec, ISO 1600 at 142mm and the second photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/640sec, ISO 1600 at 200mm. Here are several more photographs of their performance.
