Lacuna Coil At MTelus

The second band to performed during the ear drum popping night at the MTelus was Lacuna Coil.  Direct from Italy, was Lacuna Coil has made a names for themselves as a band that always gives an unforgettable performance during their live shows.  After our headliners, this was the group that I was most looking forward to seeing on this night.  This was my second chance to shoot the band, and I was happy to have a chance to redeem myself.  I was relatively new to the concert photography business last time they were in town and never felt satisfied with my photographs of that show.  The Rolling Stones might not be able to get any satisfaction, but that was not the case on this night for their fans.  The two-headed beast of singers Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro, along with their awesomely face painted friends, played mostly songs from their brand new album, Sleepless Empire, along with a few other favourites.  Their time was criminally short, but they made the most of it.  Cristina is easily one of the best singers in the world of metal.  Andrea's vocals are just as powerful and the duo complement each other, and the songs, perfectly.  Both times that I have seen Lacuna Coil, it was under similar circumstances where they had a limited amount of time to play.  I, and am I sure all of the fans who were there that night, would love to see them on either a smaller bill or in a headlining roll of their own.  With there large catalogue of songs they could easily put together a great show.  All of the photographs of Lacuna Coil were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO setting and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Lacuna Coil while they performed on the MTelus stage.
