Victoria Bridge Day

Over in the part of the woods where the Head Office is located we are currently celebrating a much deserved day off.  It's a day that has gone through a fair share of name changes over the years.  So, in the interest of world peace, I decided to re-dub the day to honour the bridge that people have been using to cross over the might St. Lawrence River for 165 years now.  It is still my preferred bridge to use when I need to cross, though I don't always get to use it due to it's special configuration during the morning and evening rush hours that sees both lanes being used to either cross on to, or off of, the island of Montreal.  It's  beautiful old bridge and I still get a little chill while crossing over it just thinking about the many people who have used it over the years, and the history that is buried around its banks on the Montreal side.  The photograph was taken at f/5.6, 1/60sec, ISO 400 at 24mm.  Happy Victoria Bridge Day.  Celebrate it by going out for a ride.
