Benny Jones At Paroisse Saint-Hubert

About a week ago, I mentioned the unfortunate truth that all good things must come to end.  As sure as night follows day, we have reached the end of my favourite summer activity.  We've been following the summer concert series put together by the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture, as we do every summer, and our final show was this past Thursday.  Benny Jones was playing n the front steps of the Paroisse Saint-Hubert and everyone was looking forward to some great music to bring our summer outings to an end.  Benny Jones didn't disappoint either.  His music was a delightful blend of pop and folk rock, mixed with some great storytelling and banter between the songs.  Everyone was rocking, rolling and laughing through out his entire set.  His loudest chuckles were about a joke made about how his name and our location was a mix of the two most popular chicken restaurants in the province and that he hoped not to many of us had arrived looking for a meal.  The jokes were an added bonus, but we were all there for the music and Benny Jones had a wealth of songs to share with us.  His most recent album, Petit album d'automne...D'hiver, was released in March of last year.  We got to hear a few of those songs and they sounded great.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Benny Jones as he performed in front of the Paroisse Saint-Hubert.

If you would like to find out more about Benny Jones and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website.  Once more, a big thank you goes out to the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture.  They did a great job putting all of these concerts together from June through to August.  It was great fun to photograph them and to also take in some of the over 100 events they organized over the last few months.  Merci beaucoup.  Benny Jones has a few more shows scheduled before the seasons change.  Be sure to check him out if he ends up playing in a town near you.
