The calendar has once again brought us to another August 22rd, Daisy Day here at The Old Blog. We take a little moment and remember Grammie, my Grandmother who passed away on this date 14 years ago. The traditional method of remembrance has been to post the photograph of a daisy, a flower that holds many memories of our time together for me. Being a staunch traditionalist at heart, we continue it again this year. Our daisy comes from a bouquet that was collected earlier this spring by The Heir Apparent and was kept in our kitchen for a few days. To keep the family ties to the flower strong, we participated in take the photograph together. Looking at it from different angles, discussing if we liked the final image better with, or without flash, and of course, explaining why we were taking the photograph to begin with. The photograph was taken at f/7.1, 1/200sec, ISO 100 at 70mm with some flash to make everything look nice and crisp. Some good clean family fun that I am sure had Grammie smiling down on us from her cloud.
