Exodus is one of those bands where after getting the news that I would have a pass to photograph the show, I needed to pinch myself. They are without a doubt one of the biggest Thrash Metal band to come out of the San Francisco area in the early 1980s. Guitarist Gary Holt is one the the genre's best players, and knowing that I would be able to photograph him in action still gives me goosebumps just thinking about. In fact, I probably spent a little bit to much time on his side of the stage, neglecting the others in the band, trying to get the best shots that I could. A lesson that I will try to keep in mind for the next time. Exodus roared to life as the lights were turned up and the onslaught didn't let up for a moment during their set. The crowd was whipped into a frenzy as everything built up to a Wall of Death taking over the MTelus floor as their performance came to an end. Their most recent album, Persona Non Grata, was released in November of last year, and is the eleventh album they've released over their illustrious career. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/200sec, ISO 3200 at 24mm. Here are several more photographs that I took for their performance.

Exodus At MTelus
f/3.2, 1/80sec, ISO 1600 at 24mm
If you'd like to find out more about Exodus and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website. If you'd like to see the photographs that I took of Death Angel and Testament, you can do so by following the respective links. As a fan of heavy music, it was a great honour to photograph a band with such history. Hopefully I get the chance to do it again because it was a blast.
