All music fans have a handful of albums that, no matter how many new ones you may buy, always find their way back into their musical rotation. For me, one of those albums is Testament's masterpiece from 1988, The New Order. They were in town last Friday night, headlining a show that threatened to not only shake the very foundations of the MTelus, but take down the whole block with it. Along with being one of my favourite bands from back in my younger years, I was doubly pleased to be able to photograph the show, as Testament is one of those bands that I had previously had to sneak my camera in to the building in order to get some shots. That was for their show back in 2017, and five years later, I was there in the pit, being able to photograph the band in a slightly more legitimate manner. Being able to photograph the duo of guitarist Alex Skolnick and singer Chuck Billy is definitely something younger me would be flipping out over doing. Testament's most recent album, Titans of Creation, was released back in 2020, and this tour was one of the many that ended up getting delayed due to The Plague. The first photograph was taken at f/3.2, 1/160sec, ISO 4000 at 24mm. Here are several more photographs that I took of their performance.

If you'd like to find out more about Testament and their music, you can do so by following the link to their website. To see the photographs that I took of Death Angel and Exodus earlier in the evening, you can follow the respective links. A big thank-you goes out to Frank Mastalerz and Jeff Buttermark of FM Music Management and Kristen Torres of Nuclear Blast Records for getting me a pass to photograph the show. As always, it is very much appreciated. It was a memorable night. The kind that a few short years ago I didn't think would be possible, and now the kind that I can't wait to repeat again.
