Gilbert Lachance At Paroisse Saint-Hubert

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the summer concert series put together by the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture is that you can find some great music almost every night of the week, and everything is but a few short kilometers away.  This past Thursday was the first show of the series to take place at the Paroisse Saint-Hubert, which remains my favourite venue of all these outdoor shows.  On this evening, it was the musical stories of Gilbert Lachance who was entertaining the gathered masses.  Known mostly as a voice actor who has served as the french voice in dubbed films for the likes of Matt Damon, Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise, Gilbert Lachance is also a very accomplished musician.  On this evening he treated us to a selection of stories from his voice doubling adventures as well as playing several pieces from his Cinéma Intérieur album, which was released last year.  Though there were a few technical hiccups, handled expertly by the Ville de Longueuil technical staff, the rest of the evening was a smooth recital of wonderfully melodic tunes.  The stories were entertaining and the music was terrific.  There's just something captivating about an open air piano recital played in front of a church.  It was very soothing, even with The Heir Apparent and Crown Prince running around.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Gilbert Lachance as he performed at the Paroisse Saint-Hubert.
