This past week we were back at the Parc Empire in the borough of Greenfield Park for another concert as part of the summer series put together by the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture. Playing under the wooden gazebo was Mich & The Blues Bastards. The group of blues rockers, voiced by Michel Perron, strutted their way to the stage and then proceeded to own it for the evening. This was easily one of the most rocking shows that Greenfield Park has seen in a while as Mich & The Blues Bastards played deeper in to the night than we had thought, but nobody was complaining. I've said the in the past that the easiest way to tell if a show in Greenfield Park is a success is to look at the crowd. If you can move them to leave the comfort
of the lawn chairs and dance the night away, then you have accomplished quite the feat. On several occasions, Mich & The Blues Bastards did just that. They played a great selection of blues rock classics, all leading up to a version of One Bourbon, One Scotch & One Beer that must have had the rest of the South Shore asking what kind of action was going on in Greenfield Park, and why they weren't there to take in the fun as well. The show also featured Sébastian 'Slim' Dubois play the very first sandal keyboard solo that I have ever seen, and guitarist Jean-Marc Séguin played some awesome solos with a terrific oil can shaped guitar. All of the photographs, and there are a lot as I got carried away with the shooting while having so much fun, were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Mich & The Blues Bastards as they performed in Parc Empire.

A big thank you to the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture for putting these shows together, and for letting me shoot them. Mich & The Blues Bastards gave us a terrific show, and from reading some other reviews, they've been doing that for a long time. Mich & The Blues Bastards have several more shows lines up for the summer, be sure to check them out if they end up playing in a town near you.
