Trudy At Parc Empire

The summer months have arrived, and along with all of the heat and humidity comes the great summer concert series put together every year by the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est Culture.  This is always the favourite part of the season as it is these summer shows that were my first steps to photographing the big concerts that I have had the good fortune to shoot.  Our first show of the Summer was a return to Parc Empire in Greenfield Park where up and coming country music artist Trudy was taking the stage.  Trudy's first appearance in the public eye came as the winner of a popular reality television series, Occupation Double, in 2019.  Since then she has released a series of hit singles to go along with a debut album, Go Solo, which was released in 2023.  On this night, she shared several of those songs with the gathered crowd, along with some classic country songs and was joined on stage in a pretty emotional moment by a music teacher who helped foster her talent and served as an inspiration along the way.  It all made for a great evening of music, and a great return to the Parc Empire gazebo which is a terrific place to take in a show.  Rain washed out all of the shows that were supposed to take place there last year, so it was great to be back on this familiar ground.  Speaking of familiar, Trudy's music is a comforting mix of modern and classic country, making it easy to listen to, either in the privacy of your own home or sitting in the park on a warm summer night.  It may have been a smaller crowd than her performance at last years Lasso Festival, but they were very appreciative of the great show they got to see.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  It was my first summer concert of the year, so I got a little carried away with the photographs.  Make yourself nice and comfortable, here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Trudy as she and her band performed on the Parc Empire stage.
