Loud At Fête Nationale

Our headline act down at the Parc St. Marc in Longueuil as part of the Fête Nationale activities is probably Québec’s King of Rap music, Loud.  I'll be completely honest, rap isn't exactly my musical form of choice.  But, when you're standing mere feet away from a master of his musical domain who is performing in front of you, and then thousands of his fans who are screaming and rhyming the words right back you him are mere feet behind you, it's hard to deny that you're standing right smack in the middle of a pretty powerful musical moment.  Loud truly is a master of words and they way he twists, spins and rhymns them is something to behold.  For those who are unaware, Loud has a nice selection of Juno, Félix and SOCAN awards under his belt.  With two albums under his belt, the most recent being 2019's Tout Ça Pour Ça, there had been whispers that a new album might be coming soon.  That rumour was put to rest when Loud announced from the stage that the next time we saw him live, it would be while touring for a new album that will be dropping soon.  He debuted a few songs from that album and the crowd reacted just as you would thing they would, with wave after wave of massive roars and applause.  It is safe to say that based on the reaction on this night, it is sure to be a big hit when it finally arrives.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Loud while he was performing on the Parc St. Marc as part of the Fête National celebrations in Longueuil.

If you would like to find out more about Loud and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website.  If you would like to see the photographs of the various politicians, Hommage aux Colocs, Cindy Bédard and Francis Degrandpré, who all performed during the festivities, you can do so by following the respective links.  A big thank you goes out to Line Tremblay and Audrey Pilon-Sylvestre, the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est culture for putting together these shows and for allowing me to shoot them.  Merci beaucoup.  Loud has a handful of shows scheduled for the rest of the year, be sure to check them out if he is playing in a town near you.
