Ariane Moffatt At Francos De Montréal

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  The 37^th Francos de Montréal Festival can’t be considered anything but a roaring success. I got to spend five days roaming the streets of downtown Montréal. Listening to great music at every stage along the way. The weather ranged from hot and humid to chilly with heavy rain.  But, the music remain awesome and the crowds were out of this world.  For my final evening on the site, it was back to the Loto-Québec Stage for a performance by Ariane Moffatt.  By this time, the rain and march of feet had turned the grassy park into a muddy mess.  Metal barriers were placed against each other to prevent them from falling and having the crowd spill forwards towards the stage.  This created almost a stall like effect for those of us in the photo pit.  Having wet muddy feet did not seem to bother the crowd one bit.  Their energy was still sky high and they were out for one last party before the festival came to an end.  The energy carried over the barriers as Ariane Moffatt lept upon the stage.  She danced from end to end during “Prologue”.  This continued through “Jouer” and the ultra-popular “Je veux tout. Standing on speakers at the front of the stage, she danced, sang and tossed her sunglasses out to the crowd.  Her stellar guitar work was featured during “La ministère de la solitude”, a fortune fourth song that we were allowed to photograph.  “Poussière d’ange” provided an emotional cell phone lit moment and the rain was chased away for good during “Sunshine”.  The encore of “Montréal” and “Point de mire” brought the evening, and my festival, to an end.  I didn’t get to see it all, but all that I saw was terrific.  This 37^th edition of the Francosde Montréal was a tremendous success.  The photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs I took of Ariane Moffatt while she performed at the Francos de Montréal.
