Lou-Adriane Cassidy At Francos De Montréal

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13 Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  The 37^th edition of the Francos de Montréal got off to a scorching hot start, and not just because of the weather.  There may have been larger crowds assembled before the larger outdoor stage, but anyone with a pulse knew where the true headline event of the first night was taking place.  It was at the MTelus, where a sold-out crowd witness Lou-Adriane Cassidy continue her remarkable year.  "Ma vie a juste un peu changer."  That may go down as the understatement of the year.  It’s a year that has seen her win numerous awards, sell an unheard amount of albums and perform before sold-out crowds everywhere she has gone.  A true musical tour de force that at the moment, doesn’t seem like it can be stopped.  She gently stepped before the roaring crowd and grabbed the microphone stand with both hands, waiting for the noise to end before beginning the show with "Valse frustrée".  The crowd sang along with every word and even hummed the musical parts, a phenomenon that continued all evening.  A waiting guitar was thrust into her hands for "Chanson pour Odile".  A rocking guitar solo brought the show to another level, even if this was only the second song.  Lou-Adriane mentioned how her latest album, Triste Animal, had been a very collaborative effort.  She then invited three other singers, Ariane Roy, Odile Marmet-Rochefort and Lysandre, to join her on stage.  All three had played a role in the writing the songs.  They all stood together to sing "Jamais" and "On n’arrête pas".  Ariane Roy then remained on stage so that they could sing "Ariane" together.  A song which was dedicated to her.  The love-in continued for the rest of the set, with Lou-Adriane taking a few moments to talk to the crowd about everything that has happened of late and how much she appreciates all of the love they have shown.  For those who still can’t get enough a surprise bonus show was even announced for later in the week.  Québec can’t get enough of Lou-Adriane Cassidy, and the feeling is obviously mutual.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Lou-Adriane Cassidy while she performed at the Francos de Montréal.
