Louis-Jean Cormier At Fête Nationale

The headlining musical act to take the stage during the Fête Nationale festivities taking place at Parc St-Marc in Ville de Longueuil was Louis-Jean Cormier.  One of Québec's best known voices, he was an inspired choice to perform at the event.  I was also very happy when he was announced as a performer at the show.  He was one of the very first 'big names' that I was able to shoot several summers ago.  The stories his acoustic guitar can tell must be legendary.  The band took the stage to a very excited and appreciative crowd.  I've always enjoyed Louis-Jean Cormier's music as the songs are folky and tell stories, yet still have some rock and roll in them that can make the roof shake.  They played a mix of hits and some traditional Québecois songs as well.  Appropriate for the setting.  It was a beautiful night and were all treated to his beautiful songs.  What a great show it was.  The photographs were all taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds, ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Louis-Jean Cormier and his band while they performed at the Fête Nationale

If you'd like to find out more about Louis-Jean Cormier and his music, you can do so by following the link to his website.  If you would like to see the photographs of the various politicians, Muhoza Band, Andréanne A. Malette and Kaïn, who all performed during the festivities, you can do so by following the respective links.  A big thank you goes out to Maryse Reindeau of the Ville de Longueuil and Longueuil est culture for putting together these shows and for allowing me to shoot them.  Merci beaucoup.  Louis-Jean Cormier will be touring across Québec this summer.  Don't you dare miss it when he visits a town near you.
