We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert
photographs up here on The Old Blog. I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs
can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media,
which you can do by following the link. If you'd like an even more direct
route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using
the following
link. As hard as it may be to believe, I still had another night
of fun ahead of me at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. I'm usually somewhere else on July 1st to celebrate Canada Day, but upon learning that Larkin Poe were going to be in town, my plans for this year changed. They are one of those bands that I never thought I would get to see live as they don't cross the border into
Canada very often. Once my pass had been granted, the only worry left was the weather. The skies
opened and did cause some havoc on July 1.
Fortunately, by 9:30PM, the rain had come to an end. Just in time for Larkin Poe to hit the
stage. Making their very first
appearance in Montréal, the sister duo from Georgia didn’t waste any time. They were rocking the stage from the very
first notes of “Nowhere Fast”. “Who came here to hear some guitars?” When the crowd answered Rebecca Lovell’s
question with a massive roar, she responded by tell them that lots of guitars
was exactly what they were going to get.
Rebecca, and sister Megan, tore their way through a 16 song set
list. Each song seemed to rock a little
bit harder than the one before. All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different focal lengths, ISO settings and focal lengths. Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Larkin Poe as they performed at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.

If you would like to find out more about Larkin Poe and their music, you can do so by following the link to her website. Many thanks to the Festival International De Jazz De Montréal and Christopher Gonda of V13 Media for getting me a pass to cover the event. It is very much appreciated. Larkin Poe will be performing several dates this Summer. Don't you dare miss it when they perform in a city near you.
