Trio Asesino At Festival International De Jazz De Montréal

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  My second visit to the Festival International De Jazz De Montréal would be something to be remembered.  To quote Randal Graves, this was certainly to be the social event of the season.  When I arrived on the scene at 5:30PM, a very large crowd had already gathered.  An hour later, I could see heads to the very end of the festival ground.  Two blocks away.  The big winner in this was a band from Texas, Trio Asesino.  “How many of you are here for the polka-dots?”  A loud cheer was how the crowd responded.  “That’s okay,” said guitarist Adrian Quesada.  “We can’t wait to see them too.”  They kept the huge crowd entertained with an hour long set of southern soul music mixed with some Mexican flair.  Most of the crowd may have in fact been there for the polka dots, but there were many Trio Asesino fans in there as well.  Including one fan who held up a recently purchased album that Quesada had just mentioned.  The thousands upon thousands who took in the show may now have all known who Trio Asesino was, but the band took full advantage of the huge crowd and put on a great show.  Generating huge cheers for all of their songs.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds and ISO settings.  They were all taken at 200mm.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Trio Asesino while they performed the Festival International De Jazz de Montreal.

If you would like to find out more about Trio Asesino and their music, you can do so by following the link to her website.  Many thanks to the Festival International De Jazz De Montréal and Christopher Gonda of V13 Media for getting me a pass to cover the event.  It is very much appreciated.  Trio Asesino will be performing several dates this Summer.  Don't you dare miss it when they perform in a city near you.
