Evanescence At Centre Bell

We're a little bit backed up on getting my concert photographs up here on The Old Blog.  I suppose we will catch up at some point, but this would be a good time to remind you that my concert photographs can be seen in a much more timely manner by visiting V13Media, which you can do by following the link.  If you'd like an even more direct route to my photographs, you can visit my personal page over there but using the following link.  On the last day in June, Evanescence brought their 2026 World Tour to Montreal.   As a crushing heatwave arrived in the city, Montrealer’s looking for a break from the heat and humidity headed out to the Centre Bell.  There they found some relief.  Trading in the summer heat for a night of blistering rock and roll.  On this tour, Evanescence are featuring many tracks from their most recent album, Sanctuary, which was release a few days before the show.  On this stop, the support was provided by The Nova Twins and Spritbox.  After a brief break after the opening bands had played, the lights darkened one final time before the video wall came to life.  A stylized ‘e’ flashed as the stage filled with smoke before Evanescence hit the stage.  The band took their positions on the stage, with singer Amy Lee front in center.  After a minute of taking in the roar of the crowd they opened the set with “Sanctuary”.  The song gave the crowd what they were there for, a blast of Amy Lee’s powerful voice.  The band heavily featured tracks from the new album.  Older fans needn’t worry though, the big hits were not to be forgotten.  “Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough” and “Afterlife” followed as the building continued to get louder with each song.  These fans where nowhere near the point of having had enough.  “Going Under” was the first of the older Evanescence songs to be played.  A little later, “Bring Me To Life” brought the building to life.  The song hasn’t lost any of its power, and the fans sang along the entire way.  Courtney LaPlante and the Nova Twins returned to the stage for “Fight Like A Girl”, which the crowd really loved.  The evening came to a resounding end with the one-two punch of “My Immortal” and “Wide Open Heart”.  Unlike many bands from when they began, Evanescence doesn’t need to rely on the old hits.  Their new songs rock just as hard, which was demonstrated on this evening.  Hot and humid was the weather of the day.  Evanescence treated their fans to a scorcher.  All of the photographs were taken at f/3.2 while using various different shutter speeds ISO settings and focal lengths.  Here are the rest of the photographs that I took of Evanescence as they performed on the Centre Bell stage.
