Stephane Moraille At Saint-Lambert En Fête

Headlining the Scène Desjardins on Friday night at Saint-Lambert en Fête was local singing great Stephane Moraille.  Though already a known vocalist, she rocketed to fame with a bunch of her friends when they formed the band Bran Van 3000 back in the mid-1990's  They scored a big hit and were off to the races, but it wasn't meant to last and the band broke up a few years later.  Moraille went back to her studies and went on to become a lawyer, but was brought back into the music business when Bran Van 3000 got back together to record a new version of their greatest hit.  Having been bitten once again by the music bug, she recorded a EP called Pi Wo in 2017 and followed that up with a full album, Daïva, that was released earlier this year.  She played several of her songs from those albums for us in Saint-Lambert, putting her powerful voice on display. She closed off the night with an encore of that famous Bran Van 3000 song that brought everyone out of their seats to dance along with the music.  The first photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/125sec, ISO 3200 at 200mm and the second photograph was taken at f/2.8, 1/160sec, ISO 1600 at 85mm.  Here are several more photographs that I took during her performance.

This was another example of an artist having a good time and it wearing off on the audience.  She seemed real happy up on the stage, and particularly taken by the group of young kids who were dancing around on the street to her music.  A concert just seems that much better when the artists is enjoying themselves and it's pretty safe to say that on this Friday night in Saint-Lambert, everybody was having a great time.
